USCIS has updated information on its website to inform customers that an I-765 Application for Employment Authorization to extend an EAD may not be filed earlier than 120 days prior to the expiration of the original EAD.
USCIS announced on February 4, 2008 that it will complete adjudication of many pending I-485 applications stuck in FBI name check delays where more than 180 days has elapsed since the FBI name check was commenced, if otherwise approvable.
Immigration Daily has learned that the FBI name check delays that have stalled benefit applications may soon be a thing of the past. We understand that the Executive branch will soon provide name check clearances within a prescribed amount of time.
