USCIS announced on February 4, 2008 that it will complete adjudication of many pending I-485 applications stuck in FBI name check delays where more than 180 days has elapsed since the FBI name check was commenced, if otherwise approvable.
This news is most welcome to the immigrant community and attorneys who have been waiting years with no relief in sight. CIS Service Centers are conducting sweeps to locate all qualified adjustment applicants and hopes to have the review complete by April 30, 2008.
