As of January 21, 2011, there were only 2,200 H-1B cap subject numbers available for this fiscal year (October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011). This indicates that USCIS received approximately 2,100 H-1B cap subject petitions since the last report on January 14.

With the surprise decision by USCIS which subjects many more physicians to the H-1B cap, the cap will be reached within days, perhaps even this week.
