USCIS Reports Delays on Immediate Relative Petitions at Texas Service Center

E-mail Print PDF

USCIS reports that Immediate Relative (I-130) Petitions transfered from the California Service Center to the Texas Service Center continue to be delayed. In November 2010, CSC transferred 36,000 I-130s to TSC to expedite processing. USCIS issued a public statement about the delay, and announced that as of February 7th a "rapid response plan" is in place to expedite the remaining I-130 petitions at TSC.  USCIS is promising "action" on these cases by the end of February 2011. Many of the petitions were transfered back to CSC. Applicants can expect to receive an approval, denial, or a Request for Evidence as USCIS ramps up processing.
