USCIS Reports Over 21,100 IR Cases Still Delayed at TSC/CSC

E-mail Print PDF

USCIS released an update on February 14 regarding the 36,000 delayed I-130 immediate relative petitions. USCIS reports that while they have approved 10,264 of the cases today, they have denied 55 and issued a Request for Evidence, or an Intent to Deny notice, on an addition 4,137 cases. Approximately 408 cases were referred to their District Office to be scheduled for an interview.  This leaves 21,191 pending I-130s. USCIS pledged to "act" on all the delayed cases by March 1, 2011. As that date is fast approaching, many cases will likely receive RFEs in the coming days as USCIS struggles to meet its new deadline.
