A defense from deportation may be on the horizon for married same-sex spouses of U.S. citizens. Thousands of such foreign nationals are estimated to be in the U.S. today. Today no fewer than twelve U.S. senators, including John Kerry of Massachusetts and Barbara Boxer of California, are calling on the Obama administration to stop the deportation of married spouses of same-sex couples.
