Visa Services To Be Limited during the Summer

Visa services will be limited during July and August for all nonimmigrant visa categories. Therefore, we are encouraging applicants to apply for visas during the spring and early summer as appointment availability cannot be guaranteed.

A Special Note for Tourists

Travelers planning on entering the United States visa-free under the Visa Waiver Program by air or sea carrier who do not have travel authorization approval under the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), are encouraged to register now for summer travel.

If the registration denied, you will need to get a visa (see above).

Visa Interview Waiver Program Expanded in London

The Visa Interview Waiver Program has been expanded to include H-1 visa applicants and their dependents who are renewing a visa of the same classification that has expired in the last twelve months. The program also includes reissue of OP, P, J, and C-1/D applicants.  The other requirements for visa interview waivers for reissue can be found here.

Please note that applicants must be physically present in the United Kingdom to utilize the Visa Reissuance Program and a consular officer reserves the right to request that an applicant appear in person for an interview after reviewing his or her application. Note that the Visa Section reserves the right to personally interview even those applicants who are prima facie eligible for an interview waiver.
